Terpstra returns to Six Days of Amsterdam
Resuming after a one-year hiatus, the 23rd Six Days of Amsterdam will take place between 6-11 December.
A two-time winner of the Six Days of Amsterdam (2011 and 2014) and one of the just four Dutch riders who triumphed there on more than one occasion, Niki Terpstra is bound to race in front of his home fans this week, together with fellow countryman Raymond Kreder, as the two will take on a series of races, including the always spectacular Madison, keirin and derny.
"Being here it's very special. I won twice in the past this event, but the feeling is the same every time I come back in this velodrome. Our team is an experienced one and we will give it our all in what should be a hard race against a strong field", said the 31-year-old Dutch.
After the Six Days of Amsterdam will conclude, Niki Terpstra – winner of Le Samyn, Dwars door het Hageland and the Eneco Tour in 2016 – will join Etixx – Quick-Step for the first winter training camp, which will take place in Spain.
