Florian Sénéchal confirms strong form at Münsterland Giro
The Frenchman notched up his seventh top 10 of the season.
Once a leading member of the Hanseatic League, Münster is now home to one of Germany's few one-day races, which this year ran its 13th edition, over 198 flat kilometers that favoured the sprinters, whose teams kept things under control from the very outset before ramping up the pace with 100 kilometers left and splitting the peloton, thus leaving only 20-25 riders in the front.
Quick-Step Floors – who so far this season has amassed 69 UCI victories – was represented in the main group by 25-year-old Florian Sénéchal. Having won Textielprijs Vichte and finished in the top five at Brussels Cycling Classic and Grand Prix d'Isbergues in the past month, the Frenchman was again on the top of his game and put in a solid sprint with 200 meters to go, finishing sixth as the best non-German rider at the race won by Max Walscheid (Team Sunweb).
From here, Florian will return to France, where on Sunday he will take part in the 112th Paris-Tours, a race Quick-Step Floors have owned in the past three years, and which this season comes with a revamped course much to the attackers' liking.
