The best Luxembourg rider of his generation, Bob is a pro since 2013, and even though many were predicting him a future on the cobbles a couple of years ago, he took a different road and decided to pursue a future in stage races. In his debut season with Quick-Step Floors Cycling, Bob hit the ground running, claiming the opening stage at the Tour of Oman, before making it into the squad for the 99th Giro d’Italia.
At his first participation in the Corsa Rosa, Bob enjoyed a three-day spell in the maglia rosa, but even more important was that he caught up everyone’s attention with his panache and aggressive style of racing, all pointing out to a champion in the making. To cap it off, at the end of the season he won the gold medal at the World TTT Championships, where he brought a significant contribution to the team’s record third title.
